Get rent assistance in select affordable housing communities across FL

Governor Ron DeSantis recently announced $120 million in CARES Act funding to provide rental assistance for residents in Florida Housing Finance Corporation (FHFC) developments. The Coronovirus Relief Fund provides grants to individual residents in those communities to help with past due bills.

Unlike the CARES Act funds that counties and cities are able to distribute to their residents, these CARES grants are available only to residents of multifamily rental properties in FHFC’s portfolio, which provide affordable housing.

The grants provide short-term rental assistance for households impacted by COVID-19. FHFC will reimburse participating properties to subsidize rents. The rental assistance will be available for months from July through December 2020, and you may qualify for additional aid to pay past due rent accrued during the months of April, May and June 2020.

We have the entire list of eligible properties across the state, sorted by county. If you live in one of these communities and need assistance, contact your resident property owner or manager for the eligibility guidelines and an application.
